Local programs that are currently funded by the United Way of Mason County include: 2-1-1 Information System (a partnership with District Health Department #10, Mason County Government, West Shore Educational Service District, and Michigan Works West Central), Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, Gerald R. Ford Council - Boy Scouts of America, Scottville Area Senior Center, Mason County Central Meals on Wheels, Ludington Area Senior Center, COVE, and Staircase Youth Services.

The organization also plays an important role in numerous other community initiatives which include the Lakeshore Employer Resource Network of Mason County, the Mason County Family Link Program, the Great Start Collaborative, and the Lakeshore Resource Network which is creating a centralized food pantry in the former Lakeshore Lumber building on Tinkham Avenue in Ludington.

Fundraisers for the United Way

The United Way of Mason County benefits from private contributions by individuals and employer-led programs as well as independent fundraisers like the Suds on the Shore Craft Beer & Michigan Wine Festival and the annual Spooktacular Charity event held at Photography by Sue Brown.
