Former Scottville Harvest Festival Merges into a New Summer Event Called the Scottville 10 & 31 Celebration
The Scottville Harvest Festival and Scottville Summer Fest are consolidating into one event that will take place annually in mid-July.
For generations, the Scottville Harvest Festival took place each fall. It was a West Michigan tradition which celebrated the legacy of this rural community and its farming heritage. The Scottville Harvest Festival was a destination event for the entire family.
However, the unpredictable fall weather often led to a decline in event attendance, and it became increasingly difficult to find ample volunteers needed for a successful festival. After many years of struggling with how to improve the Scottville Harvest Festival, event organizers decided to combine Scottville's two main events -- the Harvest Festival and the Summerfest -- into one big event held in July.
The new festival will be called the Scottville 10 & 31 Celebration, in recognition of Scottville's location at the crossroads of the US-10 and US-31 highways.
Now that Scottville's Harvest Festival and Summerfest events have merged into one, you can enjoy double the fun! Highlights of the event will include a car show, queen competition, entertainment tent, rubber duck race, car cruise, and several other events.
